The Bears beat the Ravens in defensive struggle

Baltimore and the number two defense came to Chicago but were outplayed by the number three defense. The bears got a touchdown pass from Kyle Orton to fullback Marc Edwards in the first quarter, and that's all their defense would need. Chicago's defense shut down Baltimore's running game and star running back Jamal Lewis, with just 34 yards on 15 carries. The Chicago Bears are the only team in the NFL not to allow a rushing touchdown this year. With a matchup up of two strong defenses an unusual stat would be that of running back Thomas Jones, who ran the ball 22 times for 139 yards for the Bears. "I think they were getting tired," Jones said of a Ravens defense that entered the game ranked second in the NFL in total yards. The Bears defense also did not allow a TD for the second straight game and league the league in points allowed with 10.3 ahead of the Colts (11.0). Leaders on the defnesive side of the ball were Brina Urlacher, Tank Johnson, and Adewale Oguneyle. Next week the Bears take on the Lions for complete control of first place.

Im so happy da Bears beat the Ravens this week. I hate the Ravens with all my heart because i am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Thank you for giving them a spanking for me, they needed it. Also, the Bears look very good this year compared to their competition in the NFC North. They'll definitely make the playoffs if they keep playing like this. They just need to improve their offense and they should be good to go because their defense is nasty. Go Bears!!! (until they meet the Steelers and are slaughtered)
